Arena Coaching Policy for Tournaments

  •   NAC (National-level) Tournaments – These are our top-priority events. Coaching is required for all fencers attending. Fencers competing at a NAC must register for coaching support.

  •   SYC (Super Youth Circuit)/SJCC (Super Junior & Cadet Circuit) Events – These are also a priority. Coach attendance will be determined based on scheduling, distance, and overall attendance.

  •   RYC (Regional Youth Circuit)/RJCC (Regional Junior & Cadet Circuit) Events – Coaching availability is limited. Coaches typically attend tournaments within 30 miles of the club, when schedules allow, and if sufficient fencers have requested coaching.

Please note the coaching fee is $70 per event, per fencer.

For tournaments more than 50 miles away, families are responsible for sharing coaching travel costs, including transportation, lodging, and related expenses.

To assist with planning, families must complete the Coaching Request Form on the Arena website as soon as possible. Coaches will use the number of requests, travel distance, and scheduling considerations to determine attendance.

Coaching Expectations
Coaches will make every effort to support fencers during tournaments, but they cannot attend every bout. Coaching availability depends on the coach’s schedule and other commitments. Coaches also reserve the right to cancel coaching if unexpected situations arise.
