For young epee fencers in North Jersey, Bergen County, and even nearby Manhattan, Arena Fencing Academy’s sanctioned youth tournament in Waldwick on May 24, Sunday, offers something every developing competitor needs: authentic tournament experience.

Events Schedule:

Y8 Women's Epee*: 9:00 AM

Y8 Men's Epee*: 9:00 AM

Y12 Women's Epee*: 9:00 AM

Y12 Men's Epee*: 9:00 AM

Y10 Women's Epee*: 1:00 PM

Y10 Men's Epee*: 1:00 PM

Y14 Women's Epee*: 1:00 PM

Y14 Men's Epee*: 1:00 PM

This USA Fencing–sanctioned event for Y8, Y10, Y12, and Y14 boys’ and girls’ epee gives young athletes the opportunity to compete in an official setting, gain familiarity with tournament structure, and build confidence through real bouts that matter. From navigating pools and direct eliminations to handling pressure, timing, and strategy, events like this help newer fencers move beyond practice and into the true rhythm of competition. *Please note that events may be combined if fewer than 6 fencers attend.

Families will also have added convenience beyond the strip: Ferre Fencing Gear Shop will be onsite, making it easy to purchase new equipment, replace worn gear, or handle last-minute fencing needs during the event.

For youth fencers across North Jersey and the New York metro area, Arena’s Waldwick tournament looks like exactly what a strong local sanctioned event should be: accessible, competitive, and focused on giving young athletes the kind of real-world experience that helps them grow.
